nana and grandad are here! // part one.

The past week my Nana and Grandad have been visiting in Singapore! Despite it being a so called “hell week” at NUS (yes, that is an actual turn of phrase here, the assignments get that mad!), we managed to do SO MUCH STUFF together, so that was really really nice πŸ™‚ It was so lovely to have them here, and to be able to show them around, and just to see them πŸ™‚ ❀ Here’s what we got up to πŸ™‚

Nana and Grandad got here Friday before last – I had a pretty crazy day of classes, but we met up for Pontien noodles for lunch which is one of the yummiest foods of all time! We skyped Mum and Dad too, as you can see πŸ˜‰

It was a fun time!

On Sunday we were going to go for high tea at Raffles Hotel – but turns out you gotta book that a bit in advance! So instead, we went on a rainbow adventure! Nana and I both love rainbows (a lot), so I thought I would take the grandparents to see all of the cool rainbowy places I found in Raffles Place! (see here for earlier rainbow adventures πŸ˜‰ )

At night, we went to see the lights in Little India leftover from the Deepavali festival.Β These lights stretch the whole way down Serangoon Rd, which is very very long.

Then we headed off to Haji Lane, an adorable and narrow shopping street!

I bought an umbrella in preparation for the rainy season hehe πŸ™‚

We met Glen at Wasabi Tei for dinner – but I think we must have been very distracted by the sushi – we didn’t take any photos!! It was very good sushi.

That’s the first half of the adventures… but wait, there’s more! The next three days of photos and stories arriving soon in the next post hehe πŸ˜‰
