Today Shao En (my lovely flatmate) and I have been adventurers.
Tonight is my first night in UTown. With the help of my (super lovely) boyfriend, I moved my things over tonight, and have set up a little, and am tucked up in my new bed typing this and feeling very cozy! Here are some photos. 🙂
After spending some time in your gloriously innumerable malls, I have two things in particular that I would like to thank you for.
Yesterday I checked into my university accommodation. I am living in a very nice, very new, and very, very huge place called UTown. I am staying in the UTown Residence, which is one of many residences within the UTown area (which is just one small part of the NUS campus), and my residence alone is made up of two towers with 25 floors each. A lot of people live here!
I have now been in Singapore for almost exactly just over one day! So far it all sort of feels like some crazy and really exciting dream, featuring the best send-off crew and the best greeting crew in the whole world. Here are some thoughts and photos from all of this busy-ness.
Today has been a very muddled sort of a day. It’s been a sometimes emotional day, and a sometimes anxious day, and a sometimes excited day!
How much will I really spend?
Quite time consuming
nervous-excited-nervous-excited-WHAT AM I DOING-excited-nervous-CAN’T WAIT-nervous-excited… etc. 24/7
So orientation starts next week and there are a whole bunch of exchange student activities and in a true adventurous spirit I decided to sign up for EVERYTHING cause really, why not.
Here is a list I made of those activities, for your perusal.
